Your first baby, this is supposed to be exciting, right? The truth is, many emotions can start to flood the mind of a pregnant woman. "Why don't I feel happy and grateful?" You may think, "How can I have the 'pregnancy glow', when i look and feel like a whale?" Your body is changing and allowing space for a tiny human to grow inside of you. You are changing physically, emotionally, and biologically; that is a lot of change all at once! Give yourself some grace today and allow yourself the space to process all of these new changes.

POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION

10 to 15 percent of women experience PPD after giving birth. Researcher believe this is due to changes in a woman's hormone level before and after pregnancy. PPD usually does not go away quickly as it does with "baby blues" (Womenshealth.gov). This can be a sign, it's time to  attend to your own needs. Remember mom's, as much as your baby needs you, neglecting your well being is not going to serve them well. You owe it to yourself and your baby to take the first step towards self care. Come find the perfect balance today.

"I've done this once, I'm sure I can do it again". Were these your famous last words? Many woman wonder why the second, third, or fourth pregnancy after their first, is so different. Every pregnancy and child can be completely unique. It's important to manage our own expectations and to accept that different doesn't always equal negative. It maybe hard to imagine a different experience being just as meaningful. Then there's those of you that are trying to grasp life with two or more children and what that will look like in your world.
